I may have just discovered something amazing. I am sure I am not the first person but I thought I’d share my findings. Did you know ice can be used for more than just making your drinks cold? Yep… that’s right! Who knew you could do so much with frozen water! There’s some examples listed in the picture I have above along with added bonuses I’ll address in the rest of this post. I definitely want to test this out. Couldn’t hurt to try…. I mean, ice is free after all.
So ice can be pretty much used for facials? Crazy… but after doing some research on it, it seems to be fairly well backed up with facts.
And apparently you can add vitamin E and green tea for extra benefits. Turns out it’s an ancient beauty remedy. Very interesting… You just use ice first thing in the morning after a hot shower and your skin will grow radiant all day. You will have to get used to the shock from the cold of the ice but if it bothers you too much, you can always wrap it in a towel.
Pro tip: Add fresh lemon juice for extra vitamin C!
And what about trying a camomile ice facial? Just put some camomile in water filled ice trays and freeze them. This type of ice cube facial promotes blood circulation, tightens pores, and decreases wrinkles.
How about a honey green tea facial? Just mix 2 tablespoons of honey with 150ML of green tea and separate them into ice cube trays. Freeze and use like any other ice facial.
And lastly, you can even spruce the ice cubes up a bit and add cucumbers, lemon, and even rose petals. Just freeze these items in with the ice and use! Putting the ice in plastic bags before applying can be a good idea as well. Less of a mess.
Well all this research convinced me pretty well to go and give it a try. Have you tried an ice facial yet?
